RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT

The Engineering Department is responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the City. The infrastructure would include streets, sidewalks, sanitary and storm sewers, and water mains.

Maintenance

The maintenance would either be by initiating new projects or by reacting to citizen Engineering Projects Collage Opens in new windowconcerns. This department also reviews and issues soil erosion permits together with the enforcement of flood plain management issues. This department is also responsible for:

  • Issuing house numbers
  • Maintaining City facilities
  • Maintaining city maps for sewers, water, and pavements
  • Reviewing plans
  • Working with environmental issues
